Jezzam’s online booking software supports multiple bookings, baskets and orders, helping customers book more flexibly while businesses keep payments, emails and admin clearer.
Many small businesses need more than a simple one-booking-at-a-time process.
A customer might want to book several appointments, reserve places on more than one class, book onto a course or workshop, or arrange a series of repeat bookings in one go. For both the business and the customer, those multiple bookings need to stay clear, manageable and easy to follow.
Jezzam gives businesses the option to use a basket-based online booking process, supported by orders that group one or more bookings together. Customers can make a single booking or add several bookings to a basket and complete them together as one order.
That gives customers a simpler way to make multiple bookings, while giving businesses a clearer way to manage bookings, payments, emails and order history.
Why multiple bookings matter for small businesses
Not every customer books one thing at a time.
For many small businesses, a typical booking journey might involve:
- A customer booking several repeat appointments
- A parent booking places for more than one child
- Someone booking multiple places on the same workshop
- A customer booking across different events or classes
- A regular client booking a set of repeat sessions
- An admin creating a series of bookings for a customer
Without a basket or order-based structure, those bookings can feel disconnected. The customer may need to go through checkout more than once, and the business may need to work out which bookings belong together.
Jezzam’s order-based booking structure helps keep related bookings together without turning them into one single combined booking.
That distinction matters. An order keeps related bookings together, while each individual booking keeps its own date, time, status, payment information and booking workflow.
How Jezzam handles bookings, baskets and orders
Jezzam uses three simple concepts.
A booking is the individual appointment, event place, class, course, workshop or other scheduled item.
A basket lets the customer collect one or more bookings before checkout.
An order is created when checkout is completed. The order can contain one booking or several bookings.
For example, one customer might add a single appointment to the basket and place the order straight away. Another might add several appointments, places or event bookings, review everything and then complete them together as one order.
This keeps the booking journey flexible and simple for the customer, while keeping the admin side organised and clear.
Customers can still make one booking
Multiple booking support does not mean every customer has to make multiple bookings.
If a customer only wants to book one appointment, one class place, one course or one event, they can. Jezzam still creates an order for that booking, so the structure stays consistent.
This means the same order-based model works whether the customer makes a single booking or several bookings. For businesses, that consistency means fewer exceptions, clearer admin processes and easier customer support.
Individual bookings can still be managed independently.
A basket gives customers more flexibility before checkout
The basket gives customers a place to review selected bookings before they complete checkout.
Instead of forcing the customer to finish one booking before starting another, the basket gives them more control over the process. They can add a booking, continue browsing, add another booking, remove something if needed and check the details before placing the order.
This is especially useful when the customer is still deciding what they need, or when they are booking on behalf of other people and want to check everything before committing.
Once the customer is ready, they can complete checkout and Jezzam creates the order from the contents of the basket.
The exact options depend on how the Jezzam account has been configured, including the services, events, payments and booking workflows being used.
Useful for appointments, classes, courses, workshops and events
Different businesses use booking software in different ways.
Some mainly take one-to-one appointment bookings. Others run classes, courses, workshops, events or a mixture of different bookable items.
Jezzam supports both appointment and capacity-based booking needs. A business might use it for one-to-one appointments, places on events, repeating classes, workshops, courses or other scheduled activities.
The order-based structure helps because the customer’s booking journey does not have to be limited to one type of booking at a time.
Depending on how the account is set up, a customer may be able to book several appointments, book multiple places, or book across more than one event or class as part of one order created during one basket checkout.
The result is a simple customer booking experience, with clearer order management for the business.
One order can include different payment types
Payment can become complicated when a customer makes more than one booking.
Some bookings need payment straight away. Some are paid later. Some are free.
Jezzam can handle different payment types within one order. For example, an order can include:
- Pay now bookings
- Pay later bookings
- Free bookings
This gives businesses more flexibility than forcing every booking in an order through the same payment route.
Where an order includes pay now bookings, the pay now total is calculated and paid during checkout. Bookings that are set to pay later can still be managed separately in line with the business’s normal payment process.
One order can include different booking workflows
Payment is not the only thing that can vary.
Different bookings may also follow different workflows. One booking might be confirmed immediately. Another might need admin approval. Another might be pencilled in and require further customer action.
Jezzam allows bookings in the same order to keep their own workflow.
For example, one order can include:
- Confirm now bookings
- Bookings requiring admin approval
- Pencilled in bookings
Each booking keeps its own status and workflow, while the order keeps the related bookings grouped together.
Where action is needed, Jezzam includes the relevant action buttons in the order email sent to the customer. This allows the customer to complete the next step directly from the initial order email where needed.
Clear order emails without unnecessary noise
When an order is placed, Jezzam sends an order-based email.
The main order email gives the customer the details of the order and the booking, or bookings, included in it.
This means the customer receives one main email covering the order as a whole, instead of separate initial emails for every booking in the order.
After that, individual booking emails can be used for actions relating to a specific booking. For example, if one booking is rescheduled, cancelled or approved, the customer can receive an email about that booking rather than receiving the full order email again.
This keeps communication clear and simple. The order email acts as the main order summary, while later booking emails stay focused on the specific booking that has changed.
Customers can view bookings and orders online
Customers can view their bookings and orders through their Jezzam User Profile.
This gives them a central place to check upcoming bookings, individual booking details, past orders and previous booking history.
Customers can also open bookings and orders from links in their emails.
Where a customer does not have a full User Profile, Jezzam also supports guest access. A one-time code is sent to the email address used for the booking or order, allowing the customer to view the specific booking or order securely online.
This gives customers a practical way to view and manage their booking without relying only on email.
Admins can review orders clearly
Orders are also useful for admins.
In the Customers section of the Jezzam admin panel, admins can view a customer’s orders from the Orders tab.
This lets admins review order history, check how many bookings are included in an order, view order and payment status, check totals and resend the order email where needed.
The order gives a useful overview, while individual bookings can still be opened and managed separately.
That matters because an order may contain several bookings with different dates, statuses, payment details or workflows. Jezzam keeps those details available at the booking level, rather than forcing admins to manage the order as one combined booking.
When Attendee Management helps
Multiple bookings often raise another question: who is the booking actually for?
Sometimes the person making the booking is also the person attending. But not always.
A parent may book for a child. One person may book several places on a class or workshop. Someone may book on behalf of another person.
Jezzam’s Attendee Management feature helps where a business needs to collect separate information about the booker and the attendee.
The booker is the person making the booking. The attendee is the person attending.
This can be useful where a business needs attendee names, preferences, requirements or other attendee-specific information. Coupled with Jezzam’s custom field and form design features, Attendee Management allows businesses to tailor the booking experience to capture the information they need.
Attendee Management is included as standard and can be switched on when needed, so businesses that do not need separate attendee information can keep the booking process simpler.
A booking system that reflects real booking journeys
A good booking system should not force every business into the same narrow process.
Some bookings are simple. One customer books one appointment, pays if needed and receives confirmation.
Other bookings are more involved. A customer may book several places, combine different booking types, pay for some bookings now, pay for others later, or wait for approval on part of the order.
Jezzam’s basket and order structure is designed to support that flexibility.
Customers can book in a way that better reflects what they need, while businesses can keep the admin side organised and manageable.
