Jezzam uses the industry-standard iCal interface for calendar sync. Although iCal lacks default authentication, you control access by managing your calendar links. You can disable sync links, delete them, or regenerate new ones for added security, giving you peace of mind when sharing schedules.
It's a feature that allows you to easily publish booking information from your Jezzam account to other calendars, like Apple Calendar or Outlook, ensuring you see your bookings in the calendar app of your choice.
The update frequency varies based on the calendar app you use. For instance, Apple Calendar might update every 5 minutes, while Google Calendar might only sync once or twice a day.
The calendar apps themselves control the frequency at which the synchronisation occurs.
In your Admin Panel go to Settings > Integrations > Calendar Sync.
Click on the Staff Member you want to set up the calendar sync for and click "New". Enter the desired details and settings and then click "Activate".
Yes, you can customise the details that appear, such as excluding customer or staff information for privacy reasons.
No, the your Jezzam bookings data remains separate, allowing for easy removal without affecting other appointments in your calendar app.
While the iCal interface doesn't have authorization measures, you're advised to share the Subscription Calendar links only with trusted individuals. Jezzam allows you to disable, regenerate, or delete the subscription calendar link for added security.
Absolutely! You can easily publish a 1-way Calendar Subscription for your whole account, viewing bookings across your business in your preferred calendar app.
The frequency at which the booking information is updated via 1-way Calendar Sync depends on the calendar app used. Jezzam has no control over this. For example, Apple Calendar can be configured to synchronise every 5 minutes while certain versions of Outlook will synchronise subscription calendars each time email is retrieved.
Google Calendar synchronisation is slower - it only syncs once or twice per day. Google controls the update speed and this is not configurable. This is a choice by Google, therefore the frequency with which Google Calendar updates the information is not under our control and can take several hours.
So in other words the frequency depends very much on the calendar app you are using.
